My name is Val Starowlansky, I was born in Argentina and Im a mother of two , in my last years of my career I focused on Pregnancy support and Postpartum care process.
As soon as I graduated as a Psychologist, I founded Naciendo Juntos a Psychological Parenting guidance during pregnancy and postpartum, a space created not only for the pregnant woman but also for her partner. I collaborated with Planeta Mama, a website oriented to motherhood.
In 1999 The United States of America welcomed me with an Extraordinary Abilities Visa in the field of science and after moving to the states with my family I got accredited as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and continued working for South Florida families in a non-profit organization as a program coordinator in Parents Now and Family Empowerment, programs focused on parenting skills and the well-being of the families.
As a birth doula I support moms and couples throughout the whole journey of their pregnancy, birth and into parenthood focusing topics like Breastfeeding, which I strongly support, anxiety, expectations using technics to cope with those feelings during the pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I believe that it is a blessing to be side by side with moms, babies, partners and families during this exciting time. However, it can also be time of anticipation, curiosity, and sometimes uncertainty, especially of the birth itself. I am very dedicated to ensuring the whole pregnancy journey, birth and beyond .
